WHAT TO BRING :
Day Trips:
Day trips leave at 8:30am from the Bella Coola Public Wharf. Guests are to meet in front of the Wharf Office. Please indicate at the time of booking if you prefer an alternative. Bring: any food & drinks, a few layers of clothing, bathing suit, towel, hat, sunglasses. Footware: light shoes, sandals or watershoes are all comfortable options. We discourage hiking boots & heavy footwear.
Multi-Day Trips
In addition to items mentioned above, drybags or duffel-type bags are recommended for carrying all personal items. (Hard suitcases are very difficult to stow). Multiple smaller bags are preferred for easier fit into small spaces as space is limited. Due to varying weather conditions, dressing in layers is recommended. General clothes-t shirt, long sleeve, sweater or fleece, pants, long johns, swimming & casual shorts, light rain gear/windbreaker, light toque, sun hat, warm socks (extra), sunglasses, small day pack, personal toiletries, camera, music, ipod/cd’s, cell phone & charging accessories. Optional: headlamp, light gloves, book & fishing license. Gum boots, water-shoes or sandals are neccessary for inter-tidal areas & getting in & out of the Zodiac. We discourage hiking boots & can supply you with gum boots if it's pre-arranged.
